Guest Book

I have spent the last few days catching up on all the little details. My favorite one I accomplished was our guest book. It took me all day because our computer is being temperamental but it was well worth it. I used Blurb.com and it turned out beautifully. If you have never used Blurb I highly recommend it. They also make fabulous and thoughtful gifts for any occasion.

Gift of Veggies!

Dear friends of Juan's came to visit us yesterday and took us to brunch and also brought us this amazing basket of Jersey Fresh Veggies! It was one of the nicest gifts I have ever received. I used the veggies last night to make a delicious dinner for Juan and I. Juan was very happy.

Walk this way

This is my latest dorky project! I had Juan find me a piece of wood on the beach on Sunday so I could make a "wedding this way" sign. He was almost arrested because he walked into the dunes to fetch me a piece. There is a pedestrian bridge you have to walk over to get to our ceremony and I am going to hang one there for sure. I can't help but love all the little details.

Cake

Juan and I went to the beach this past weekend and got a few things done. We finally found a wonderful bakery that understood exactly what I had in mind. This picture was the inspiration for our cake. The only problem is I have to make the shells that will decorate the cake. I hope I haven't bitten off more than I can chew! I think I will make the shells with white chocolate. I have already started to investigate how to do this. Wish me luck! Although this is not the best picture, this is the vintage cake topper I found.

Just in Case

I made a few wedding day purchases today and this is one of my favorites! I bought a bunch of pashminas in our wedding colors in case any of the lovely ladies get chilly during the cocktail hour. I plan on putting them in a pretty basket for people to grab to keep warm.
