My Bridal Shower

My bridal shower was last Saturday and it was lovely! The shower was hosted by my "aunt" Mary and my "aunt" Pat at the General Warren in Pennsylvania. The setting was beautiful as was the food. Everything was wonderful, thoughtful and touching. Many thanks to all that attended and for making it a day I will never forget.

Wave Goodbye

My last project I promise! I think I am getting out of control with the details. This is my latest, wedding wands! We aren't allowed to do sparklers or throw anything so I made up some wands for people to wave at us as we depart the reception. Before the paint

Seashells by the Seashore!!!

I am feeling so proud of myself at the moment! The wedding cake I have taken my inspiration from was covered in seashells. Our bakery said they would make the cake but we would have to supply the seashells. Before I could even stop myself I said, "I can do it!" I have never in my life made chocolate before and I thought to myself, "now I am over my head". I ordered the molds online and Saturday I made Juan go to NY Cake and Bake with me for iridescent powder to paint the chocolates. The molds came this afternoon and I took a crack at it. The shells are much whiter in person than the picture shows but overall I am very happy with the end result.
